Description

Nos 7 and 8 on New Street are two cottages that are part of a row, likely built around 1470 for Abbot Selwood and later rebuilt in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from squared and coursed Doulting rubble and feature an eaves course and a stone-tiled roof with a restored brick ridge stack. The cottages are two stories high with four bays, showcasing sash windows with glazing bars set in bead-moulded stone surrounds. There are paired door openings in a plain stone surround, leading to plank doors.
