Village Hall, 20 Metres North West Of Church Of St Andrew

The Village Hall, located 20 metres northwest of the Church of St Andrew, is a former schoolroom dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof between stepped coped gables topped with finials. The building has a 'T'-plan layout and consists of two bays, with a projecting west porch. It includes three-light hollow chamfer mullioned windows with traceried heads beneath square stopped labels, as well as similar windows in the end gables and small lancets in rectangular recesses. The porch features a 'Y'-tracery window in a pointed arch at the gable, beneath a small bell turret with a bell. There is a sliding door on the south return wall. This building may have been constructed around the same time as the Church of St Andrew, which was built between 1869 and 1870, and could be attributed to the architect Charles Baker-Green.
