Description

The Wesleyan Methodist Church, built in 1812, is a plain building featuring a hipped slate roof. The front is made of ashlar stone and includes a moulded coping at the top, a cornice, a string course, and a plinth. There are five windows arranged in two tiers; the upper tier has semi-circular heads while the lower tier has segmental heads with keystones. A portico supported by two columns features an entablature. The side elevations have six windows and a central entrance lobby. The street is flanked by fluted gate piers on either side of a retaining wall, which has a very shallow pediment.
