Description

This lamp standard, dating from 1901 to 1904, was likely made by Singer. It is constructed from cast iron and features a moulded pedestal with a fluted tapered shaft and a ladder rest. Above this, there is a moulded finial and a crook-shaped bracket adorned with Art Nouveau leaf decoration, along with the original mirrored reflector. Designed for electric street lighting, this lamp standard is part of a series of similar structures in Frome, 21 of which are already listed.
