Description
This school, dated 1863 and designed by architect W J Willcox, is a single-storey building in a Gothic style. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and features a tiled roof that has four vents and a crested ridge. The building has a distinctive arrangement of windows: one, one, three, one, two, and three lancet windows, most of which are linked. A central gable includes a subdivided light and an oculus. To the right of the center, there is an unusual belfry supported by a buttress and corbel arrangements below. The school is connected to No 3, the former schoolmaster's house, by a covered passage.
