Description

This barn, located about 25 metres west of Coombe Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble and features a plain clay tile roof with simple gables. The barn is one storey high and consists of five bays. There are large central doors on each side, housed in a gabled porch on the west side. The northern two bays have an intermediate floor with plain doors and windows, and there is a later outshut on the west side. The roof is supported by a king post and struts, and the floors are brick paved, with remains of a cider press present. Extensions have been added to both gable ends.
