Description
This is a 17th-century barn located to the south of Coombe Farmhouse, which has been extended by one bay to the west in the 20th century. The barn features a timber frame and weatherboard exterior, with a flint and brick plinth and an old tile roof. It consists of five bays. The north side includes an aisle and a central gabled cart entry. The two left bays of the aisle have a brick wall, while the two right bays contain open stalls. The 20th-century bay to the right is made of brick. Inside, the barn has braced tie beams and an aisle plate, with trusses that have heavy curved struts and no collars. The roof is a double purlin design with butt purlins.
