1/155 Barn about 10 metres south-west - of Higher Combe Farmhouse

GV II

Barn on west side of garden in front of farmhouse. Probably late C17 or C18. Granite rubble. Thatched roof, hipped at south end. 2 storeys. East front has 3 openings with wood lintels in ground storey; C20 window with leaded panes in second storey. Straight joint at left-hand end, corresponding to the thickness of the gable wall. In west wall a pair of plank doors with wrought-iron strap-hinges having spade-shaped terminals. In north gable a plank door to loft, also with wrought-iron strap-hinges. C20 roof timbers.
