Description

Annes Keep is a detached cottage, likely built in the 18th century. It features ham stone that is cut and squared, with ashlar dressings. The roof is plain clay tiled, resting on stone slate base courses and has stepped coped gables. The chimney has been removed from the top of the south gable, while the north gable includes a gabletted finial. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. It has hollow-chamfered mullioned windows with three lights set in chamfered recesses. These windows do not have labels above but have separate labels below, and they are all rectangular-leaded with sage iron-framed opening lights. Between the bays is a chamfered cambered-arched doorway with a deep lintel, which frames a 20th-century part-glazed door. The north gable has 20th-century windows, and there is a small extension at the north-east corner. The interior has not been seen.
