Description
Nos 5 and 6 Keyford are two adjoining buildings that date back to the 18th century, although historical deeds suggest they may have origins as far back as 1656 when they were formerly a single cottage. The front of the buildings features two storeys constructed from coursed and dressed rubble, with No 5 being rendered. They have a slate roof and each building contains one window. The windows are two-light with an inner edge-roll and outer ogee moulding, supported by flat mullions. No 5 has modern casements on the first floor and a small plate glass shop front on the ground floor, while No 6 has cross glazed sashes. The paired doorways are topped with a single moulded flat hood on brackets and an unusual pediment, although the doors themselves are modern.
