Description

Nos 77 and 78 Keyford are a pair of early 18th-century buildings, likely dating to the 1700s, that have been altered over time. They are two storeys high and built of coursed rubble, with a modern, hipped pantile roof. The front elevation originally had three windows on the first floor, featuring two-light, flat-moulded mullion casement windows with drip moulds. However, modern casements have been inserted into No. 78. On the ground floor, originally there were three windows; the left-hand window is a later insertion with French casements, a two-light, flat-moulded mullion window with a drip mould is in the centre left position, and a late 19th-century two-light window occupies the right-hand side. The doorways are paired and have stepped ovolo surrounds. A later lean-to extension has been added to the right side. At the rear, a chamfered string course runs over the ground floor, and two flat-moulded mullion windows are present on the first floor.
