WEST CHINNOCK CP ST41SE 3/210 Paul Chest Tomb, with railing enclosures, 3 metres South of South aisle door, Church of Saint Mary

GV II

Chest tomb with railed enclosure. Late C18. Ham stone with wrought iron railings. High moulded base; one fielded panel each face with 3-fielded-panelled pilasters to flanks; relatively thin hipped top. Commemorates Elizabeth Paul, died 1794, and her family. Set on paved surround with 150mm high stone kerb, on which are set railings with alternate long and short arrow-headed balusters, with thicker matching cornerpieces.
