Description

Burrgate Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed of rubble stone, which is now colourwashed. It features a double Roman clay tile gabled roof with an end rubble stone chimney stack. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a four-window front that is positioned at right angles to Ringwell Cottage. The entrance is located in the gable end and consists of a vertical boarded 20th-century door. The windows are mainly 19th-century, featuring two- and three-light, two-pane casements set in variously moulded stone mullion frames. The cottage is included principally for its group value with Ringwell Cottage.
