Description
This pair of gate piers, dating from the mid-18th century, is located at the junction with the A362 in Buckland Dinham. The tall ashlar gate piers stand 12 metres apart, flanking a roadway. They are fielded and panelled on two sides, while the remaining sides are plain. Each pier features moulded caps. Locally known as the Hardington Piers, they mark the boundary of the former estate of the Bampfylde family.
