Description

This is a pair of gate piers dating from the mid-18th century that have been re-sited. They are made of limestone ashlar and have a square plan. The piers feature moulded bases, neckings, and cornices. The tops are off-set and support ball finials with central square bands. These piers were moved around 1978 from the entrance to the former forecourt of Glaston Hall, which was demolished in 1891. They are located 100 meters to the east of Bisbrooke Hall.
