Description
No. 41 is a mid-19th century building, likely linked to the Watchet and Williton Gas Light and Coke Company. It is positioned at right angles to South Road and constructed from roughly-squared red sandstone with dressed stone window reveals and voussoirs. The building features a slate roof and two brick chimney stacks. It is two stories tall and has four south-facing windows, which are sashes with glazing bars. There is an off-centre gabled porch with a segmental-headed doorway and a panelled door. The gable end facing South Road has shaped stone brackets that support the coping, and it includes two sash windows with glazing bars and segmental heads. The north elevation has two first-floor sash windows with brick surrounds. There is a later extension at the west end. A stone wall lines the roadside, featuring stepped coping supported on brackets. To the right of the wall is a plain boarded door, and to the left are two square stone gate piers.
