Description
Lower Farncombe Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with some 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of rubble with a slate roof and features brick sticks and coped verges. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys with three bays on the left and one projecting bay on the right. The windows are moulded stone-mullioned, consisting of 2, 3, and 4 lights, and have labels above them. The entrance is located in the second bay from the left and features a 20th-century ribbed door, accompanied by a shallow 20th-century rubble porch with a cornice. Notably, there is a cast-iron fireback dated 1618, which displays the Royal arms and is set into the gable face on the right side. The interior is reported to contain early features.
