Description

The Orangery, located 50 metres north of the East and West Blocks within Redlynch Park House, was likely built in the 18th century, possibly by Nathaniel Ireson of Wincanton. It is constructed of red brick with dressings of Doulting stone, and has a hipped roof of Welsh slate. The building is single-storey and seven bays wide; bays three to five project forward and are topped by a pedimented gable. Features include a plinth, stone cornice, and blocking course, as well as flat arched recesses with gauged brickwork heads, interspersed with large windows containing multiple panes of glass and blind panels. A lower flank wall extends to the east. A later greenhouse to the west is not included in the listing.
