Description

21, 22, and 22A Mount Street are a group of buildings dating from the 18th century. The street front is a mix of painted brick and stucco, with some Gothic sash windows. The end bays project slightly and contain curiously positioned double six-panel doors set between buttress-like projections. The front of the buildings facing Vivary Park is particularly attractive.

The long block is finished with painted roughcast and has a long, hipped slate roof, with projecting eaves. There are nine sash windows with Gothic glazing bars stretching across the ground floor. French windows are located on the ground floor. A trellis verandah is present, having undergone some alterations.

The listed buildings in Mount Street form a group which includes the Unitarian Chapel, The Lawn, Mary Street House, the listed buildings in Vivary Park, Wilton House in Hammets Walk, and Nos 1 to 14 Upper High Street.
