Description
The walling and gateway, along with an attached coach house, are located on the north side of the former stable yard of Halswell House and date from the 18th century. The structure serves as the driveway entrance to the stable yard, featuring a gateway with ashlar piers topped with pyramidal caps and plain paired wrought-iron gates that have spear caps. On each side of the gateway, there is a section of brick-faced rubble wall. The wall to the left is connected to the brick and rubble coach house, which has a crenellated parapet and a hipped slate roof. The coach house is oblong in shape and has a plain style, with three semi-circular head openings that include stone keys and imposts, as well as double wooden doors in each opening.
