Description

This ornamental bridge, dating from the 18th century, features flanking half-figures and is constructed of ashlar. It has two semi-circular archways on each side of a central projecting bow. The rear parapet is raised to create a shallow semi-circular headed niche, complete with a vermiculated key and imposts. On either side of this central feature, there are lower walls that end with statuesque female half-figures, one of which has fallen and lies nearby as of the last survey in February 1985. The front parapet was renewed in concrete block during the mid-20th century.
