Description
Estate House is a late 17th-century building that has been modified in the 19th century. It is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, with ashlar dressings. The roof is covered with plain clay tiles, featuring bands of fish-scale tiles between the coped gables, and there are stone chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays.
The windows are hollow chamfer mullioned with rectangular leaded lights, all consisting of three lights except for the one above the central entrance door, which has two lights. The entrance is protected by a projecting stone porch supported by circular non-classical columns and topped with a flat roof. There is a single storey extension on the west side that matches the main building, along with a significant 19th-century extension at the rear.
The interior has not been seen but is reported to be unremarkable, except for a reused medieval jointed cruck truss located in the center of the roof.
