6/205 Garden seats and 4 garden ornaments about 30 metres east of North Perrott Manor House

GV II

Two garden seats and four garden ornaments in small formal sunken garden. Probably 1877, although they could be of 1909. Ham stone ashlar, metal statues. Seats have moulded solid base, the back has segmental centre portion with reverse course shoulders, framing a wreath with garland; scroll ends to side arms: the ornaments have barley-sugar twist pedestals on circular bases, with four metal statues, overall about 1.75m high. Important elements in the close formal garden which is part of the setting of North Perrott Manor house (qv).
