Description

Two garden seats and four garden ornaments are located about 30 metres east of North Perrott Manor House, likely dating from 1877, although they could also be from 1909. Made of Ham stone ashlar, the garden seats feature a moulded solid base and a back with a segmental centre portion that has reverse course shoulders, framing a wreath with a garland. The side arms have scroll ends. The ornaments consist of barley-sugar twist pedestals on circular bases, supporting four metal statues that stand approximately 1.75 metres high. These features are important elements in the formal sunken garden, which contributes to the setting of North Perrott Manor House.
