Description

Leversdown House is an early 19th-century house in Thurlxton. It is built of creamwashed roughcast, with a hipped slate roof and brick stacks. The symmetrical front facade has two storeys and three bays, divided by plain pilasters. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has tripartite cambered head sash windows with a 4:16:4 pane configuration. A recessed central porch features a flat stone entablature supported by two Tuscan columns, with engaged columns on the side walls, and double three-quarter glazed doors. The interior retains simple original features, including a staircase and elliptical-headed archways.
