Description
Sunnyside is a cottage dated 1625, which was enlarged in the early 20th century. It is rendered, likely over cob, and features a steeply pitched corrugated iron roof over the original part of the building, with a shallower pitched corrugated iron roof over the addition on the right, which has a projection at the rear. There is a large external stack on the left gable end and a 20th-century brick stack on the right.
The cottage originally had a two-cell plan but now consists of three cells, set gable end onto the road on the right, with a hillside on the left. It is one and a half to two storeys high and has three bays, all with two-light casements. There are two inserted gabled dormers on the left that rise from the eaves. The ground floor features casements flanking the main entrance, which has a gabled porch and is dated above the door, with another casement to the right belonging to the 20th-century addition. A tiny stairlight is located on the left return gable end. It is likely that the entrance has been resited.
