Description

Pound Cottage is a house from the 17th century located in Barrington Village. It is constructed of random rubble with some areas of render and features a thatched roof with a brick stack. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements directly under the eaves, which have square-paned leaded lights. The ground floor also has two 2-light casements with wooden lintels, and there is a door opening to the left beneath a wooden lintel, featuring a 20th-century ribbed door. The roof slopes down to a single-storeyed outshut on the left, which has a 2-light casement under a wooden lintel. Inside, there is a fireplace with a wooden bressumer.
