Description

Royces is a house dating from around 1600. It has a rendered exterior and a thatched roof, with rendered stacks. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are primarily 3 and 4-light casements with leaded lights, except for two 20th-century 4-light casements on the left side of the ground floor. The ground floor windows feature tall freestone keys. There is a door opening located between the second and third bays, which has a plank door and a thatched bonnet hood supported by two wooden posts. Inside, the house has three rooms and a cross-passage, with notable features including fireplaces, beams, and an interesting cruck roof.
