Description
The Cross is a house that was later converted into three dwellings. It dates from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and cob, now roughcast and whitewashed, with the east gable made of brick. It has a thatched roof and two brick stacks. The structure is two storeys tall and has three bays, featuring 2-light 19th-century casement windows, except for two wooden-mullioned windows in the second bay on the first floor, which have leaded lights. There are three door openings, including a plank door, a panelled door, and a half-glazed door. Inside, there are notable features such as the remains of a timber-framed fire-hood, a plank and muntin partition, and beams.
