Description

Well Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of uncoursed stone rubble, with some parts rendered and painted, and features a thatch roof that is half-hipped to the left, with an end stack on the right. The building likely has a single-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic, displaying a single-window range. There is a 20th-century door and porch that lead to a 19th-century lean-to addition on the right side. The ground floor has a central 3-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and there is a swept half-dormer at the centre with another 3-light casement. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace on the ground floor.
