Description

Ivy Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, later used as a house, with a brick front dating to the early 19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of red brick with an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack in the centre. It follows a 2-unit lobby-entry plan. The building is single-storied with an attic, displaying a 2-window front. A plank door is situated within a gabled brick porch in the centre. To the left and right are 3-light wooden casements with segmental brick heads. A cross-gable to the right features a 3-light wooden casement with a segmental brick head. A half-hipped cross-gable to the left also has a 3-light wooden casement. Internally, there is a straight flight of stairs and a queen-post roof. Blocked fireplaces are found on both the ground and first floors, centrally located. Some original 18th-century doors with their original hinges remain on the first floor.
