Description
The Holland Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the 19th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and has a single fielded panel on each side, with coffer-panelled pilasters on the flanks and no frieze. The hipped top has moulded coving with rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates Hugh Holland, who died in 1820.
