Description
Mill Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed of cut and squared Ham stone with ashlar dressings, and features a double Roman clay tiled roof with high stepped coped gables, likely replacing thatch. The building has two storeys with an attic and consists of five bays with irregular fenestration. The first two bays may have originally been an outhouse that has since been incorporated into the house. These bays feature 2-light horizontal-bar casement windows above and a 3-light window below, all set under concrete lintels, with a boarded door in a plain opening to the right of bay two. The remaining bays have plain mullioned windows with beading in simple architraves, with 3-light windows in bay four and 2-light windows elsewhere, all equipped with metal opening lights and horizontal bars. There is a lean-to extension against the west gable that includes a circular window to match. The east gable features a matching 2-light window in the attic and an entrance with a beaded surround leading to the doorway. There is also a lean-to extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
