Description
The ornamental bridge, blinder wall, and gardener's cottage date from the late 18th century and are located in the pleasure grounds at the rear of Ston Easton Park. The bridge is constructed of low rubble and features a segmental archway over the river, with a parapet that has rough-hewn coping. The tall blinder wall, which serves the kitchen garden, is designed in a mock-military style. The attached gardener's cottage is made of coursed rubble and has a pantile roof with stepped verges and end rubble stacks. The cottage has a symmetrical front, is two storeys high, and consists of three bays. It features moulded two-light stone-mullioned windows with leaded lights and stopped labels on the ground floor. The central door is set in a freestone surround and is a plank door with a rustic porch.
