Description
Nos 10, 11, and 12 Market Place are buildings from the 1830s or 1840s, positioned forward from the Post Office and featuring a chamfered corner. The structure consists of two bays, one bay, three bays, and one bay, and rises to three storeys. It is constructed of ashlar stone with brackets supporting the eaves of a hipped slate roof, and has two chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sashes set in arches with plain bracketed cills, and there is a cill band on the first floor with cornices above the windows on the second floor. The two right-hand windows are grouped as three lights. The majority of the ground floor has a new shop front, while No 12 features a mid-19th century shop front with a bracketed cornice. These buildings are included for their group value.
