Description
This is a road bridge dating from the late 19th century, located about 150 metres east of Bowden Gate. It is constructed of red brick and features Portland stone decoration. The bridge has plain base walls and a very small vaulted tunnel for a stream. Each wall is supported by three piers: the end piers have stone caps and ball finials, while the central piers have stone caps and urn finials. The parapet walls are made of moulded open brickwork with stone copings. This bridge serves as an attractive landscape feature on a large estate that includes several notable items, although the nearby rain house from 1881 is of lesser interest and not listed.
