Description

This is an early 19th century farmhouse with an attached barn. The farmhouse is built of roughly squared and layered lias rubble stone, with a double Roman tile roof, prominent verges, and brick stacks at the ends. It has a symmetrical facade with 16-pane sash windows, each with a stone lintel highlighted by a keystone. The central entrance has a six-panel door, the top two panels glazed, and a stone hood supported by console brackets. To the left of the farmhouse is a two-storey barn with a similar tile roof and coped verge. The ground floor of the barn has two door openings: a divided plank door to the left, protected by a wooden lintel, and a pair of plank doors to the right, beneath a cambered wooden lintel. A blocked window and a plank hayloft door are located on the first floor. The farmhouse retains some original interior features from the period of construction.
