Description

The Old Thatch is a cottage dating to the 16th and 17th centuries, with 19th-century features. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed walls with a thatched roof and a brick stack. The cottage has two storeys and three bays. It has plain two-light casement windows beneath wooden lintels, with the exception of a larger three-light casement with glazing bars on the ground floor. A door opening is present with a plank door and glazed panel, and a bonnet hood supported by thin wooden posts. Inside, a fireplace with a wooden bressumer and a winder staircase are noteworthy.
