Description
The Manor is a house with an 18th-century exterior that incorporates reused late medieval features inside. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with quoins, coped verges, and a double-Roman tiled roof, along with 19th-century brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical front with two storeys and two bays. The ground floor features three-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows with labels, while the first floor has similar two-light windows, now fitted with 20th-century square-paned leaded lights. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, and is framed by a gabled double-Roman tile porch with a segmental headed outer door opening. Inside, there is a room on the ground floor that boasts a reused late medieval panelled ceiling adorned with ornamental bosses, showcasing very fine workmanship. Additionally, there is a fireplace in the right ground floor room, set in a dressed stone surround with a four-centred arch head, which is also a reused feature.
