Description
Upper Woodlands Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted around 1800. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof and coped verges, featuring two brick stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 1:3 bay configuration. It includes three-light casements, a 16-pane sash window to the left, and two pairs of French windows with glazing bars on the ground floor. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, and there is a plank door to the left. A verandah extends along the ground floor of the frontage, supported by decorative cast-iron supports and covered by a 20th-century corrugated plastic roof. To the right, there is a 20th-century lean-to greenhouse. Inside, the farmhouse features a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer and dressed stone jambs, along with an early 19th-century staircase and a winder staircase.
