Description

This is a terrace of three houses, numbered 5, 7, and 11, built before 1774 and previously known as Trinity Parade. The houses are constructed of coursed rubble with freestone dressings, featuring a moulded cornice and a balustraded ashlar parapet. They are two storeys high with dormers, and originally contained a symmetrical arrangement of 3 windows, 2 windows, and 3 windows. Most windows are glazing bar sashes, but number 7 has modern casements on the first floor and plate glass sashes on the ground floor. Number 6 has paired windows on the ground floor. Number 5 has an extra door to the left and French windows between this door and the main entrance. The roofs are slate, with stone chizneys. Number 5 has two gabled extensions to the rear, and number 7 features a gabled stair turret. This turret may indicate that number 7 incorporates an earlier house, which is evidenced by the presence of a late 17th-century section, number 11 (now integrated into number 7). This older part features an ovolo-moulded and stopped rear doorway, and an arched cupboard with rounded shelves in the ground floor room to the left. A mullion window is also present on the north-east side of number 11.
