Description

The lamp post on the perimeter wall of Trinity School was created between 1901 and 1904 by a local art-metal firm called Singers. It features a cast-iron standard with a crook designed to suspend a lamp, which is adorned with art nouveau style ornamentation. This lamp post has been adapted for town lighting, representing an early provincial example of electrification. It is prominently positioned, facing southwest and northwest down Goulds Ground and northeast down Trinity Row.
