Description
The Scott Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 4 metres north of the north transept of the Church of St John Evangelist, is a chest tomb that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from ham stone with panels made of Keinton stone. The tomb features a plain tall plinth, rusticated pilasters, and plain recessed panels, topped with moulded coving that has a hipped top. It commemorates Robert Scott, who died in 1778, his son John who died in 1774, and other members of the Scott family up to the mid-19th century.
