PURITON CP RYE (North side) ST54SW 5/55 Unidentified monument in churchyard, about 10 m south-east of chancel, Church of St Michael and All Angels - GV II

Unidentified chest tomb. Late C16. Dressed stone. Oblong chest, plinth sunken, pilasters to each side; massive hipped slab top dentil-moulded around its lower edge. An unusually early chest tomb.
