Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century, with alterations and additions from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as some 20th-century work, particularly involving changes to the windows. The building is roughcast with double-Roman and pantile roofs and features brick stacks. It has a cross-passage layout with later additions that create an irregular plan and irregular window arrangement. The front facing the road mainly has 2-light 19th-century casement windows, except for a 3-light moulded wooden mullioned window above the main door. The door opening features a heavy oak door frame with a flat-shouldered head and a plank door. The garden side has a mix of 2 and 3-light 19th-century casements and sash windows. Inside, there are exposed ceiling beams, a fireplace with a cambered wooden bressumer, a stone spiral staircase, and an early roof structure that is said to remain.
