Description
Gore Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and brick, featuring brick stacks at the ends of its ranges. The building has two storeys and a five-window range, with the two right bays being a 19th-century addition. The windows display a variety of styles, including two and three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, as well as sashes with vertical glazing bars. A wooden lattice porch from the 19th century leads to a part-glazed, panelled door. Inside, notable features include ceilings with intersecting, moulded beams and wall plates, a central through passage that is now blocked, and blocked open fireplaces. The eaves have been raised in brick.
