Description
This cottage, attached to the south of Jessamine Cottage, is likely from the 18th century and is located at the end of a row on High Street in Queen Camel. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a thatched roof featuring a plain south gable that continues to the north. A brick chimney stack is present. The cottage has two storeys and consists of a single bay. It features three-light small pane casement windows on both levels, with the lower window set under a voussoired flat arch. To the left, there is a six flush-panel door with glazed toplights, also in a plain opening with a voussoired flat arch. The interior has not been seen.
In front of the house, approximately two metres away, are boundary railings that have curved returns to the house. These railings are made of intertwined hoop designs with scroll braces, and there is a pair of matching gates opposite the door. These features contribute positively to the setting of the cottage and the overall streetscape.
