Description
The remains of a churchyard cross, dating from the 15th century and restored in the mid-19th century, are located 10 metres west of the porch of the Church of St. Ethel Dreda in West Quantoxhead. This sandstone cross features a two-stage calvary with dressed masonry from the 19th century. It has an octagonal socket and bulbous broaches, with a chamfered upper edge. The remains of the shaft are significantly eroded, resulting in an almost circular section and standing approximately 800 millimetres high. The total height of the cross is about 2 metres.
