Description

The Oaks is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar Doulting stone, featuring a plinth and string courses, and has a double Roman clay tile hipped roof with chimney stacks at each end. The house has a three-window front, arranged over two storeys, with a central entrance porch. The front door is a six-panel design, fielded and moulded, with the top two panels glazed. It is set within a stone porch with corner pilasters carved with incised decoration, a fluted frieze, and an entablature topped with acroteria. The windows are 24-pane sash windows with marginal glazing bars.
