Description
The granary, located 35 metres west north west of Charcroft Farmhouse in Brewham, is possibly from the early 19th century. It features timber-framed construction with timber weatherboards, all resting on staddle stones and topped with a tiled roof. The building is rectangular and single storey, with a hipped roof covered in shouldered fish-scale clay tiles, supported by twelve staddle stones. The east side has a large boarded door with wrought iron hinges, while both the north and south sides have small two-light windows. The interior has not been inspected. This granary is designated as Grade II because it remains largely intact and serves as an important reminder of historical farming practices. It also contributes to the cohesive grouping with the farmhouse and the bird house, which are also listed.
