Description
This is a 17th-century chest tomb located 9 metres south of the tower at the Church of Saint Mary. It is made of Ham stone and has a rectangular plan. The plinth is sunken, and the end panels are recessed. The flanks feature plain pilasters and recessed single panels, which are divided by a double incised line. The top of the tomb is completely covered by ivy, but it is presumed to be flat. The inscription on the tomb is very worn and commemorates someone named Thomas, with a date that is possibly 1639.
